How To Cook Chicken and Egg Over Rice

 Ingredients:


1/4 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced

2 ounce sliced ​​chicken breast

shiitake mushrooms (fresh or dried), thinly sliced

2 x or 3 snow peas cut into julienne

2 x spring onion stalks, chopped 1″ to 2″ long

1 x beaten egg

1 x portion of freshly cooked Japanese-style rice

Dashi:


1/2 teaspoon non-moto dashi dissolved in it

1/2 cup water (or use 1/2 cup chicken broth)

2 tablespoons or more soy sauce as needed

1 tablespoon or more brown sugar to taste


methods:


* In a small skillet, add the sliced ​​yellow onion, sliced ​​shiitake mushrooms, and dashi. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the onion is soft. Add chicken slices and green onions while cooking.

* When the chicken is cooked, pour the beaten egg over the vegetables and meat. Immediately sprinkle the julienned snow peas on top.Cook until the egg has partially or fully hardened, depending on your preference. Pour some of the sauce over it.

* To serve, you can put the rice on a plate and put your Gu on top of the rice. Or you can serve it in a donburi in the same way. If cooking for two or more, use a large skillet, divide the gu (topping) and serve.
